There are only two areas on the airport where deicing activities can be conducted without prior approval and notification to LAC
Deicing activities are not regulated by the LDEQ so there is no issue with deicing fluids entering the storm drainage system
Aircraft do NOT need to be positioned so that deicing fluid will remain on the ramp to evaporate or so that the runoff enters vegetative areas for infiltration.
LDEQ requires that monthly records are kept of the type, quantity and dilution rate of deicing fluid utilized and that this information be provided to the airport authority.
